While I do know how to use AI programs, I have chosen not to use them in my personal creative work. This includes digital and traditional art, theatrical work, and writing. I have also chosen not to use AI while creating my personal brand content including my logo, website, and social media.

I have two reasons for choosing not to use AI. The first is my personal ethics, which I won’t discuss here. The second reason is that it is inefficient for me. Usually if a client offers me the opportunity to utilize AI it is for a writing job. While it is well meant, using an AI for a first draft means that I have to go through and check it for mistakes, fix the sentence structure to make it sound human, and translate it into brand voice in order to have a workable real first draft. Simply put, doing myself it saves time.

While it is never my preference, I understand that many people have a taste for AI Programs, and I have used them for clients who requested it. Usually it is something like using Chat GPT to generate hashtags for social media posts. If I used AI in a project I discuss on this website I will indicate it, and describe what it was used for.

If any of this changes in the future, this policy will be updated. If I ever start using AI tools in my personal work, I will use the same system that I currently use for my professional design work and indicate what has been made with AI.
